#Incoterms #PackingInfo #RegionInfo

Hello, Digital Forwarding!

I'm here to provide answers regarding inquiries about necessary information when applying for an import logistics quotation.

Inquiry: What information is needed when applying for an import logistics quotation?

Answer: The cost of import logistics is determined based on the weight and volume of the items being processed, and the cost is calculated based on the segment where transportation is required. Here are the details to be confirmed before applying for a quotation.

1. Incoterms: In international trade, there is always a 'seller' and a 'buyer,' and the buyer pays the costs. Incoterms distinguish whether the amount paid by the buyer includes the price of the goods, freight, and insurance. It also specifies when the risk of the goods transfers from the seller to the buyer. In other words, Incoterms are conditions that differentiate the responsibilities for all tasks and costs incurred during the transportation of goods from the seller to the buyer based on a specific location.

2. Packing Information:

Confirmation of the details of the visible packing units, including 'length, width, height, weight, and quantity.'

Example: (80 x 60 x 50)cm x 10 cartons // 50kg per carton

3. Detailed Addresses of Loading/Arrival Countries:

For EX-WORK conditions where the buyer pays all logistics costs from the seller's factory, confirmation of the detailed address of the exporter's factory is required. Also, confirmation of the domestic arrival address where freight delivery is needed domestically is necessary.
